Why does Hospice of the Finger Lakes need to raise money?

Proceeds from annual events, such as the Friends of Hospice Membership Drive and “Light up a Life”, in addition to memorial gift and United Way contributions, support our mission of providing quality end-of-life care in our community.

Community Support

Hospice of the Finger Lakes significantly depends on community support and fundraising efforts to assist in bridging the gap between insurance reimbursement and the actual cost of patient care. Services are never denied because of an inability to pay. Only through the generosity of our community can Hospice of the Finger Lakes continue to make this quality end-of-life care possible.

In 2018, 189 patients were served by Hospice of the Finger Lakes.
